Want a journey for your heroine, maybe learn about her past and see her grow into her new tole? Too bad, cause Rey is the ultimate Mary Sue. Ain't nobody got time for that! How about a heroic sacrifice by Finn, saving the rebellion? Nope, because after he returns from a pointless side quest with a forgettable character, that's gonna get derailed too. Well, certainly Luke will show what a true Jedi Master is capable of! Nah, he's just drink some green alien sea cow milk and complain pretty much the whole time. Certainly you get to see true scope and terror of Snoke's power and learn how he came to be the Supreme Leader of the First Order? Wrong again, he goes down like a punk. And I'll just skip over Emo Ren. Aside from the red guard fight scene (which still has editing problems) this whole thing was an absolute abomination. They took everything great about SW and basically destroyed it in this raging, cinematic dumpster fire.

This Star Wars movie that brings a different take but also fits in so well to the universe, it by far passes every other Star Wars movie before except of course for Empire. Yes this is a different Star Wars movie. "Things are not going to go the way you think" Many of the reviewers on the site are salty that their theories didn't come true (not to mention the fake bot reviews), and that Luke was a hermit to begin with and not a Grand Master Jedi that the Expanded Universe originally wrote him as. Although, yes he is that, but that comes before this movie. Before the sequels (Although the flashbacks do help show that) Luke is now ashamed for what happened to Kylo, he feels responsible, and hurt. He feels like he let down Leia and everyone else. He has taken full responsibility for it all, he has gone to the island of the first jedi temple to simply get out of the way and die. But that is until Rey find him, at first yes he is unwilling to teach he, but then he agrees, now I cannot wait to see him return in Episode 9 as a force ghost and see Rey take over, who is the true last jedi, and teach a new generation of Jedi. She has the books, Lukes saber, and she is ready to take the screen and fulfill her destiny. Yes at first glance Snoke is a bit of a waste. Most people salty that he wasn't Bane or the Emperor, but it doesn't really matter who he is, or if he comes back or who he was. Kylo Red has overpowered his master, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, but Snoke was arrogant, and didn't count on Kylo betraying him. Adam Driver did a fantastic job at portraying this. You think he will turn and help Rey, but he tricks her, and try to turn her. All I can say is this film was fantastic. The funniest thing about this movie is how salty people are that their fanfics didn't come true.

Absolutely awful film, riddled with plot holes: juvenile, awkward attempts at humor, and utterly destroys the character of Luke Skywalker. If you love the original movies just avoid this film. It does irredeemable damage to the original trilogy and the portrayal of Luke Skywalker is appalling. It’s not just the worst of all the Star Wars films it’s a terrible movie in general. Save your money, save your time, and save your memories of the original trilogy.

Although one of the most beautifully shot films of the series, the plot does not belong in the Star Wars universe. Jokes that are out of place, space chases that are boring, characters changing who they are after 40 years of story telling, makes this film fall flat on it’s face. I can’t decide whether the director is tone deaf to the fans of Star Wars and was more conernened to show the world how edgy he was, or he never saw a Star Wars movie before. Either way the Star Wars magic is gone in this film.

Fast forward to 2:23 and press "Play". After the younglings are scolded and sent back to their chores, the boy walks outside and stares into the night sky sporting his Rebel Alliance signet ring. But what many may have missed was the broom that floated into his waiting hand. He will be the next Jedi. It was a struggle to watch this film, but the last minute is stunning.

Ill start off by saying that im a star wars fan boy. I really enjoyed the force awakens it sets us up with some great questions that number 8 ( the last jedi ) should of answered. However Rian Johnson's choice to throw away the story work created by JJ abrams and go on his own was a mistake. They dont tell you who Rey's parents are or any thing about Snoke. TLDR. The Visuals are great the story is horrible. You get to see some cool space battles and if that is why you like star wars then you will like it. If you want some more story then your not missing much if you dont watch this.
  • Horrible plot holes.

It’s horrible. The jokes to start horrible. Leia surviving vacuum of space and flying back horrible. The whole point of the movie is stupid and horrible slow speed chase wipe out all of our forces and we hide and hopefully get rescued? So stupid. The one “amazing” scene is so horrible the guards purposefully change direction and miss rey, another guard has two daggers gets rey kill shot and doesn’t have the second dagger again. Hyperspace a ship through another ship. Why not do that for the Death Star 1 or 2? Oh because it’s b.s and just another stupid plot hole. Also rey gets all of the training and powers from Kyle cause they touched hands. Why didn’t yoda do that in empire or jedi?
