Gloria (Anne Hathaway) is an out-of-work party girl who, after getting kicked out of her apartment by her boyfriend (Dan Stevens), is forced to leave her life in New York and move back to her hometown where she's reunited with her childhood friend (Jason Sudeikis). When news reports surface that a giant creature is destroying Seoul, South Korea, Gloria gradually comes to the realization that she is somehow connected to this far-off phenomenon. As events begin to spin out of control, Gloria must determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world. Experience the wildly original film critics are calling, "a great deal of fun" (New York Times).

Not the greatest or the most entertaining way to show the dark side of alcoholism. (not that there’s a good side side to alcoholism)

“Smart and funny”was how it was advertised, boring with horrible acting is what it should have said.. glad I waited to see it on Hulu instead of paying for it.
  • Colossal

It’s a complete waste of money, poor storyline, poor acting the last 30 seconds of the movies is the best part.
  • Not a comedy!!!!

I hate it when they say the movie is going to be funny and its not. Nothing funny about alcoholism and bullying. Not a bad movie i’ve seen worse.... much worse movies. It just not funny

I should have just left it at the trailer. The trailer made it seem funny. It was not. Too many unexplained plots. Too much abuse from Jason Sudekis character and too much taking it from Anne Hathaway’s charater to really be a comedy. Too much even for a "Dark Comedy". The idea seemed really good though.

LOVE LOVE LOVE both main acotrs, however i have tried to watch this snooze fest of movie three times and have quit ever single time. why it is still on itunes top ten is beyond me. i really thought jason sudeikis would bring more.
  • Just awful

Such good actors, with considerable screen chemistry, enjoyable setting and cinematography (except the cgi). All cruelly chained to the most intolerable story you’ll ever sit through. Watched it all the way through only for the the positives, knowing I’d hate it in the end.
