    Just awful.
  • As Horrible as it can get...

Emma Watson has no personality, but worse, she's so unlikeable you can hardly watch this movie. She's probably like that in real life since she can't act her way out of a paper bag! My wife left after 15 minutes and I am SO sorry I wanted to the end...I can go on, but everything, I mean everything is terrible about this movie, and it ends even worse than I could imagine. Hanks, although a great actor, had a terrible part as well as John Boygne, who came off as someone that was an outsider and shouldn't be in this movie at all! Etc. etc. etc...
  • Not at all perfect, but...

As an entertaining, overall film, it falls a bit short. Some of the acting is bad, portions of the plot fall flat, and it feels rushed throughout. But 2.5 stars when Baywatch has over 3.5?!?!? Yeah, sounds about right. Regardless of how one views this movie, one can’t deny the message is clear, relevant, and honest. If you can look past a few relatively minor imperfections, this movie is actually good. It inhibits itself from great, but a message such as this couldn’t be more relevant and timely.

Yes, the ending isn't perfectly resolved, like the fairy tale movie the 5 year olds who rated it saying "nothing happened" expected. It is instead a movie that to me asks the viewer questions about what's important to them, about their morals, and to me that's the message people should be looking for in the movie. Ask yourself, "WHAT CAN I LEARN FROM THIS?", not "What happens??".
  • Blatant lack of subtlety

    By A. W.
While the point about the dangers of overwhelming connectedness via social media is a message I can agree with, the story is presented without any subtlety whatsoever -- and I'm not generally the kind of person who highly values "nuance" in my entertainment. The movie bludgeons the viewers with a corporation that blares a Google-like cult. An allegedly "regular guy" is chased to death by a social-network-tech-paparazzi. And somehow Tom Hanks is made into a charismatic corporate cult leader. While it makes claims "We're not going to be Amish" by the people who might resist overconnectedness, it doesn't really pose an alternative between the extremes of overconnectedness and Luddite-like withdrawal from the Internet. Everything is so obviously black and white with this movie that the viewer is left feeling that nothing new or interesting has been learned or portrayed.
  • Not worth your time.

They made this movie in 1994 with Sandra Bullock. It was much better the first time.
  • Great movie

This is a great movie and it was well made and I think you should not read the reviews and just watch it and it turned out to be a great movie

It was relaxing & fun movie. Short bursts of drama. Short bits of comedy. Unfortunately a little bit of horror just a dash that should be edited out. I do like the visual affects. I recommend this for adults and university age people, a great date movie. A lot of low light scenes for smooches 😚. This would be boring for the young who have short attention spans and cannot keep up with the dialogue. I like the idea of handicap individuals living vicariously via video from others experiences. "The Truman Show" with Jim Carrey 1998 was very similar: for teens The game " monsters in my pocket" was similar: for young children I enjoyed all three.
  • Literally the worst movie I have ever seen

I can’t believe this movie got released, it’s a complete disaster across the board.
  • This movie portrays the very possible future

The Circle kept my attention from start to finish and I'm not quite sure why everyone is slamming it. I thought all the actor did excellent jobs. This movie is really just a slight exaggeration of what is happening right now. Cameras are already small enough to be hidden ANYWHERE the only problem is that satellite connection requires more energy than a tiny package can manage but local bluetooth transmition is used by nearly everything. There are already people that track nearly everything in their lives on camera and social media which I think is rediculous but it is happening.
