  • Damien Chazelle Strikes Again!

This is Damien Chazelle’s follow up to his excellent film Whiplash and many of the great qualities of that film carry over. The leads, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone do a fine job here but La La Land is truly carried by both it’s visual storytelling and soundtrack which elevated it to a truest artistic level. The director takes full advantage of the LA setting to showcase his directing talents and knack for visual splendor that is on display. The soundtrack only enhances these qualities and adds to the cozy atmosphere as well as the emotional and life changing journey that these two characters embark on. At points this film can be rather entrancing and makes for a unique viewing experience that I personally appreciate greatly. People that aren’t fans of musicals like myself can certainly find a lot to enjoy about it. 9/10 Great movie.

Love the movie in 4k and Dolby Atmos! Why is the audio out of sync by more than 300ms?? Allthe other movies are in sync!!

  • La La was well ordinary

So yeah it is 2018 and I am now watching this movie. So after all the hype etc... well I was expecting more. It was not horrible and it was not great... it was ordinary... I found the story difficult at times and slow at points... the music was well disappointing... the dances were all over the place... this is really a “film festival flick” that did not raise beyond the end of the day it is what it is...that is a movie that was marketed well and did well as a result...

  • Horrid Auto-tuned tripe

Wow! I love musicals and romance, costumes and brilliant choreography and this movie has none of that. Not an ounce of brilliance--just a horrible Auto-tuned mess with bad acting, messy dance moves and atrocious costume (can't call it design--the blackhole of art). Save yourself! Pop some corn and watch one of the many, many classics out there and save yourself from this traumatic experience!

It's soooo good! The music is amazing, and the actors are perfect for the roles.

I love this movie. It's been a while since a musical came out in movie form and was great. This is such a movie. I"ve seen bad reviews, but no one can like everything. I appreciate talented actoresses / actors and a good script. This has it. Musicals are wonderful and this made me smile a lot. Having passion for love and all it entails gives us life. Not appreciating these concepts is the only reason to not like beauty such as it is portrayed in this movie. This is definitely worth the price iTunes is asking - and more.

After watching this movie, it’s not exaggerating to say my life has changed. This movie is pure perfection for me! It makes me FEEL so much more. It made me want to give a standing ovation after the first song and the ending of this movie. Just watch it without a doubt. You definitely won’t regret it!
