Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure “King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.” Starring Charlie Hunnam in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne. When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.

    Great Entertainment!
  • Good vs. Evil. What more could you want?

It's King Arthur with a Lord if the Rings effects flair and Oceans 11 mission planing/editing. If you like quality special effects on a grand scale, Evil Kings who deserve to die and Old English countryside/buildings/settings it's fun to watch. The soundtrack is as unique as the concept. The acting is solid accept for Arthur...not horrible, just not what I expected (the main actor from Pacific Rim.)
  • boring

it seems after 1st Holmes Ritchie has lost his talents. The movie is boring, full of computer graphics, actors read the script instead of playing. Also there are all those typical Ritchie's hackneyed dialogs made of pieces, related to different time periods of the story, known since Lock, Stock,... Besides that there is that Apple's idiotic requirement to activate the movie via internet before starting to play. But what if i downloaded it and wanted to watch it during the flight?! Well you cant, its obligatory to activated it. Thanks god i could connect to airport 's wifi. My first and last rent from apple. I will use 3rd party players that play the content when I want, how I want, with or without internet and that dont consider me as a thief.
  • Highly entertaining

This movie was excellent story telling and eye candy. Usually movies anymore are all fireworks and no substance. This was everything and a whole lot of fun. For a story that has been told 100 times, it was really fresh and surprising. The cast did excellent work. Great surprises.
  • Hmmm. Don't get Rotten Tomatoes review

So it's not 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', but it is Guy Ritchie's treatment on the lore. It is the back story. Very engaging. I will say I had to rewind a couple of times to truly catch the plot where his 'visions' manifest - but let's face it folks, it's the modern era and all it takes is a button click. The effects were at first seemingly a sell-out from the 'indie' Ritchie I remember but, actually really well done from a sci-fi-fantasy perspective. I also appreciated the fact that the plot encompassed cultures beyond Britain, such as African, Asian, and Viking influence. Would have been nice to see more reference to the historical Roman influence. I do not agree with Rotten Tomatoes reviews at all. If you are up for a fast paced, fight for what's right, down right visual striking rent please watch it.
